Camping World to open store in Redding, Calif.

(March 7, 2012) -- Camping World of Redding will be located at 3700 Auto Mall Drive in Anderson, Calif., at Exit 670 off I-5. This new 37,776-square-foot facility will encompass both a Camping World retail store and Camping World RV Sales dealership in addition to an RV Collision Center on-site.

Smokies backcountry camping fee approved

(March 7, 2012) -- Great Smoky Mountains's proposal to begin collecting for the use of the park's backcountry campsites and shelters has been approved by the National Park Service, which clears the way for the park to move forward with developing an online system to collect fees beginning in 2013.

Calif. state park road failure blocks access to campgrounds

(March 7, 2012) -- The Redwood Times writes that during a recent storm, a large section of the road failed between the Needle Rock Visitor Center and Bear Harbor at the north end of Sinkyone Wilderness State Park. This road is now impassable to vehicles, and only pedestrian access will be allowed.

California voters will decide whether to expand T.O.T
