RPTIA board member sets record straight

(March 9, 2012) -- Saltzgiver said the decision to move forward with the merger was unanimous among RPTIA board members, which represents the entire association and has the authority to act in the best interests of the association. However, a ballot was sent to members because RPTIA wanted its members to have a voice on whether merging the two associations was a good idea.

New York town addresses "man camps"

(March 9, 2012) -- On Monday, the Campbell Town Board is expected to enact a two-year moratorium on establishing or expanding dormitories, campgrounds, RV parks, trailer parks or similar facilities, as the issue of "man camps," in relation to the possible shale gas boom in the state, hits the town, reports the Corning Leader.

Clean a park, camp for free

(March 9, 2012) -- The fourth annual Spring Clean-Up at West Virginia's Beech Fork State Park is scheduled for Saturday, April 7, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Volunteers who register in advance may camp for free at the park on Friday and Saturday, April 6 and 7.
