RV shipments jump 25 percent in November

(Dec. 31, 2012) -- On a seasonally adjusted basis, November’s total represented an annual rate of more than 360,000 units, an increase of nearly 10 percent over the previous month and ahead of November last year by 26.1 percent. Year to date, all RV shipments to retailers have now reached 266,789 units for the year, up 13.3 percent over this same period in 2011.

Founder of Clem’s RV passes away

(Dec. 31, 2012) -- In 1964, Clem Giancola and his wife, Helen, started what is recognized today as the oldest Coachmen RV dealership in the country with only a couple of RVs and a desire to be successful and provide a good life for his family, according to a press release. Today Clem's is recognized as not only the oldest but also as Western Pennsylvania's largest RV dealership not only selling Coachmen, but also several other brands such as Rockwood, Georgetown and other Forest River model RVs.
