Volunteers needed to update RVDA service guide

(March 16, 2012) -- The guide provides average work unit times for basic service functions performed by competent RV technicians. A task force of experienced dealers, service advisors, service managers, and service technicians is forming to review and update the guide. The task force will meet by conference call.

(March 16, 2012) -- The U.S. Department of Justice yesterday issued a 60-day stay on enforcement of controversial new rules that require campgrounds, RV parks and hotels to make their pools handicapped accessible by installing permanent lifts that aid people into and out of the water.

Renovation delays opening of Missouri campground

(March 16, 2012) -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Mark Twain Lake is currently in the process of renovating the nine shower and bathroom facilities within the Ray Behrens Recreation Area. Due to the nature of the renovation activities, the opening date of the Deer Run camping loop will be delayed from March 30 to April 13.

Arizona RV park painting project pays tribute to armed forces

(March 16, 2012) -- The community is invited to bring paint and suggestions to the Riverfront R.V. Park in Bullhead City this Saturday and Sunday. Several hundred feet of murals will be painted at the park to pay tribute to Arizona's veterans and those currently serving, reports the Mohave Valley News.

Arkansas State Parks specialty license plate now available

(March 16, 2012) -- Proceeds from the sale of the plates will support scholarships to college students in conservation, recreation, and park management programs. The plates cost $35 each, with $25 going towards the scholarship fund and $10 for administration fees.

Montana national forest approves ambitious tree removal plan

(March 16, 2012) -- The Great Falls Tribune writes that Lewis and Clark National Forest officials have approved an ambitious plan to remove pine beetle-killed trees along 575 miles of roads and around 157 campgrounds in four counties in the Little Belt Mountains.
