Forest River recalls 447 for LP gas line

(June 4, 2012) -- Forest River, Inc. is recalling 447 model year 2012 and 2013 Surveyor travel trailers. On certain floor plans, the liquid propane (LP) gas line was routed and fastened along the bottom of the frame rail. When the trailer hits a bump, the positioning of the LP gas line may allow the "U" bolt on the axle to pinch the line between the main rail and the "U" bolt.

Tiffin recalls two for air brake system

(June 4, 2012) -- Tiffin Motorhomes, Inc. is recalling two model year 2012 Phaeton RVs built on a Spartan chassis and equipped with 3030 brake chambers. The park brake may not be sufficient to hold the vehicle in place. Accordingly, the vehicle could roll away and strike and injure a bystander or cause a crash without warning.

Obama declares June to be Great Outdoors Month

Yamaha raises $11,000 for veterans, children

(June 4, 2012) -- Yamaha Motor Corp., U.S.A., raised more than $11,000 through its recent “Assembled in U.S.A.” Grizzly Giveaway, the company announced today. The funds will be split evenly and donated to the Honored American Veterans Afield and Feed the Children charities. The company collected $5 donations for a chance to win a 2012 Grizzly 700 ATV.

Virginia commission rejects camping restrictions

(June 4, 2012) -- Clarke County residents have been complaining that small lots along the Shenandoah River were being improperly occupied and that generators being used at the campsites were disturbing nearby homeowners, the Clarke Daily News reported. One resident complained that his grandchildren found a file of feces in the yard during an Easter egg hunt. Commissioners felt the restriction would hurt local business and penalize land owners unfairly.
