Texas’ Lake Texana no longer a state park

(July 12, 2012) -- In May, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department announced it would no longer be able to lease Lake Texana State Park from the Lavaca-Navidad River Authority, citing funding shortfalls. The authority has agreed to take over the park, which will become Texana Park at the Brackenridge Recreation Complex, reports the Victoria Advocate.
