RV Hall of Fame at 90 percent of frundraising goal

(July 13, 2012) -- In the first two weeks of July, more than $30,000 has been donated toward the Ingram Challenge, bringing the total received to date to $90,055, or 90 percent of the goal. Searer said, “That leaves only $9,945 to be raised before the Aug. 31 deadline.” Those new “angels” included Roy Beck, retired co-founder of The Beck Corporation, and Jason Lippert, chairman of Lippert Components Inc, who each donated $10,000. Bill Fenech, a former Thor Industries executive, also contributed $5,000.

Herzogs draw strong media interest

(July 13, 2012) -- After setting out from Chicago in early June in a Winnebago Via, Brad and Amy Herzog have been featured in local TV and newspaper stories in 13 media markets, including Kansas City, Memphis, Albuquerque and Des Moines. They are expected to visit 22 media markets in 18 states during the tour with stops in Minneapolis and Chicago remaining.

RVIA announces slate of board candidates

(July 13, 2012) -- Thirteen candidates will compete for eight seats on the RVIA Board of Directors. Five manufacturer seats with three-year terms are open on the board with six candidates running for the positions. Two at-large seats, both with three-year terms, are in contention this year with four candidates seeking a seat. Three candidates are vying for one supplier seat with a three-year term.
