U.S., Canadian trade deficits deteriorate
(Jan. 11, 2013) -- The United States trade deficit widened to a larger than expected $48.7 billion in November 2012. This marked a relatively sharp deterioration following a $42.1 billion shortfall in October and marked the largest deficit since April 2012, said Janzen. Canada's November 2012 merchandise trade deficit widened sharply to $2.0 billion from an upwardly revised $0.6 billion shortfall in October.
