Broken motorhome ends man’s charity drive

(Dec. 31, 2012) -- Mike Shaw, 69,  had a bold plan to raise $100,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Wounded Warrior Project by walking from Los Angeles to New York City. But, a broken motorhome ended the journey before he even left California, the Orange County Register reported.
