Canada’s trade deficit widens as U.S. deficit narrows

(July 11, 2012) -- Canada's merchandise trade deficit widened slightly in May to $0.79 billion from $0.62 billion in April. The U.S. trade deficit was $48.7 billion in May 2012, which was in line with the expected $48.6 billion shortfall.
