B.C. campgrounds declares emergency

(July 6, 2012) -- After the Windermere Creek burst its banks June 30 trapping RVs in a concoction of icy cold, mud-filled water, Shadybrook Campground has declared a state of emergency, the Columbia Valley Pioneer reported.  “I can’t put a dollar value on the damage costs from this flood because they are so enormous,” said Mike DuBois, owner of Shadybrook Resort. “This has just devastated my businesses.”
