Virginia commission rejects camping restrictions
(June 4, 2012) -- Clarke County residents have been complaining that small lots along the Shenandoah River were being improperly occupied and that generators being used at the campsites were disturbing nearby homeowners, the Clarke Daily News reported. One resident complained that his grandchildren found a file of feces in the yard during an Easter egg hunt. Commissioners felt the restriction would hurt local business and penalize land owners unfairly.
