U.S. retail sales post 0.3% decline in June

(July 14, 2015) -- Nominal retail sales in the United States unexpectedly declined by 0.3 percent in June, which was below market expectations for a 0.3 percent increase and followed a downwardly revised but still solid 1.0 percent (was 1.2 percent) increase in May and an unchanged reading (was 0.2 percent) in April, RBC Economics reported.
