RVDA issues alert about Internet buying scam

(July 10, 2014) -- The scam, being run out of Nigeria, has people putting money down on RVs "available" for sale at www.rv-wheels.com. Then, they are directed to the site of a former RV park near Joplin, Mo., to pick up the RV. Of course, the RV is not there, and occupants of the property are unaware of the situation, police told the RV Dealers Association.
