U.S. industrial production jumps 0.7% in March

(April 16, 2014) -- The solid increase in overall industrial output pushed the March capacity utilization rate up to 79.2 percent from 78.8 percent in February (previously reported as 78.4 percent). This marked the highest rate of capacity utilization since June 2008, said Josh Nye, an RBC economist.
