RV rebound causes Elkhart unemployment to plummet

(Nov. 28, 2013) -- Most RV manufacturing takes place in northern Indiana. Elkhart County saw thousands of layoffs from RV factories early in the recession, leading it to have one of the nation's highest unemployment rates for a couple years. Although the county's jobless rate peaked in 2009 at 18.9 percent, today it sits at 7.4 percent.
