JR Hunt, of Kapital Kampers in Houston, died Oct. 27

(Oct. 29, 2013) -- Hunt and his wife, Betty, owned and operated Hunt Motors and Campers (later to be named Kapital Kampers) for almost six decades. They were both instrumental in the growth of the industry in Houston and Texas and helped start and continued to support the Texas RV Association. They were the first husband/wife team to receive the outstanding achievement award from TRVA, the association noted.
