Canadian retail sales soar in May

(July 23, 2013) -- Nominal retail sales in May 2013 soared 1.9 percent in the month and compared to market expectations of a 0.4 percent gain, RBC Economics reported today. The increase was helped by a 4.3 percent jump in sales at motor vehicle dealerships.
