The provincial government announced earlier this month that close to 600 new sites opened up across the province this season. In the Southern Interior, 116 new sites have been constructed ready for the summer season at Okanagan Lake South, Manning Park, Okanagan Falls Provincial Park, Bear Creek, Kettle River and Fintry Provincial Park.

Mayor Jean Stothert and other city officials announced the plans to upgrade Glenn Cunningham Lake on Thursday, the Omaha World-Herald reported. The project calls for 42 new RV pads, a 4-mile (6-kilometer) equestrian and nature trail and a 6-mile (10-kilometer) multipurpose trail that loops around the lake.

In April and May, crews spent several weeks finding and repairing leaks to aging pipes in the Many Glacier area, according to a park release. Earlier this month, a crack in the force main along the west side of the Going-to-the-Sun Road required significant repairs. Now crews have found multiple leaks in Two Medicine’s water system.
