Roaming Free: Pre-rally fun in Franklin. N.C.

After saying good-bye to the cousins in Georgia, it was time to head to the mountains of Franklin, North Carolina for the RV Quilters (facebook group) SEW2GETHER (a.k.a. Rally)! Tom was not too excited, but I had been looking forward to this all year! It was being held at an RV Resort we’ve stayed at before – The Great Outdoors – it’s a beautiful park, and we really enjoy staying it there. Source

We finally ended our month-long stay in New Mexico when faced with the prospect of multiple days of rain. Trouble was, it was also raining in Arizona, so we had to keep heading west across the Colorado Plateau in the on-and-off drizzle, past the meteor crater and Flagstaff, refueling in Kingman because we knew the California fuel prices would be higher, and then down 4000 feet to the Colorado River as upland coniferous forest turned into the Mojave Desert. Opinion: Huglemeyer’s departure opens door to drain the swamp

The association, which claims to represent the entire industry, but only truly represents the needs of about 30 RV manufacturers and a few banks, loves to spend money on shiny objects, flashing lights and juggling clowns. Sure, there might be some noise coming from behind the door, but it's masking the fact the tween is only communicating with friends on the phone while watching YouTube videos on an iPad and listening to music through earbuds.
