RV wholesale shipments finished 2017 with 504,599 units up 17.2% compared to the 430,691 units shipped in 2016. The Recreation Vehicle Industry Association’s (RVIA) December survey of manufacturers reported RV wholesale shipments finished at 36,227, an increase of 9.9% from the 32,970 units shipped last December. December 2017 shipment total is the best December on comparable record. The 2018 Rental School takes place Feb. 20 to 22 at the Tuscany Hotel in Las Vegas. The event has been a sellout every year for many years. Alanko explains why he started the rental school and describes some of the training that dealers and rental managers can expect out of the three-day classes. He also describes the instructors who provide the training and the companies who participate by offering products and services to streamline the rental operation.

Furniture supplier Flexsteel Industries Inc. reported a 9.2% increase in net sales for the company’s fiscal second quarter, ended Dec. 31. Revenue totaled $129.4 million for the quarter compared to net sales of $118.5 million in the prior year quarter.
