Towing disaster averted by ‘plastic’ tailgate

(July 12, 2016) -- The jar jolted the locking arm on the hitch and the fifth wheel came loose and dropped into the bed of the pickup -- at 60 mph. It bounced its way down the bed and crashed into the Stromberg Carlson 4000 Series louvered tailgate.
