OPINION: Is the RV industry in for some HUD-like lending regs?

(Aug. 11, 2015) -- The problem is, in part, that the RV industry is trying to sell the idea that no one lives in an RV on a full-time basis, which is inaccurate. The second problem is the fallacy that the CFPB is somehow constrained to regulate loans only intended for full-time residents, which may have been true with the SAFE Act Rules, but certainly isn’t with with current CFPB policy as their regulation of vacation home mortgages demonstrates.
