Retail sales up 0.7 percent in November

(Dec. 11, 2014) -- Part of the headline strength reflected a 1.7 percent jump in auto sales, which was consistent with an earlier reported increase in unit auto sales in the month; although outside of the auto component, sales still rose by a respectable 0.5 percent.
