Entering fall, Americans are split on personal spending

(Sept. 10, 2014) -- With fall about to begin, 44 percent of Americans say they have spent more over the past four weeks than they did at the same time a year ago. However, 23 percent now say they are spending less than a year ago, Gallup reported.
