Initial unemployment claims fall last week

(Aug. 7, 2014) -- The four-week moving average of initial claims, which helps smooth out some of the weekly volatility in the measure, fell to 293,500 from 297,500 in the previous week to mark another cycle low and the lowest reading since February 2006.
