According to the Chesterton Tribune, the cabin apparently was not being used and not connected to utilities.

(July 4, 2013) -- Significant damage was done to a building at the Cargo Mate manufacturing facility, a division of Forest River Inc., after a fire last week, the Itemizer-Observer reported. The fire started from filters that had been removed inside the paint building. The filters had spontaneously combusted.
