White House approves new formaldehyde rules

(May 22, 2013) -- Legislators sought provisions to track the products through the supply chain, rules that encourage manufacturers to use “ultra low-emitting formaldehyde resins,” The Hill reported. However, the EPA noted the new standards are likely to have an “adverse economic impact” on small businesses. They will also have “international trade and investment effects, or otherwise be of international interest.”
