RV parks reap benefits of Gulf Coast Project

(April 26, 2013) -- The Gulf Coast Project is over 70 percent complete, and throughout the first eight months of construction, over $20 million has been spent in Oklahoma and Texas. And that doesn't include the money spent by construction workers at places like grocery stores, gas stations, or RV parks, reports the Liberty Vindicator.

Georgia State Parks announces “Great Gopher Chase” contest

(April 26, 2013) -- Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites' Gopher mascot is getting out across Georgia all throughout June. Park goers can join in the fun by spotting the Gopher mascot image on trails, campgrounds and playgrounds, then snapping a photo of him. Photo quest participants will have a chance to win prizes and even choose the Gopher’s name as part of the “Great Gopher Chase” photo quest.
