Provincetown, Mass. campground sold to conservation group

(March 20, 2013) -- In Provincetown, Mass., the Trustees of Reservations, a land trust and conservation organization, closed on its purchase of the Dunes' Edge Campground yesterday after four years of planning and cooperation with state and town officials, nonprofits and former owner Miriam Collinson. New campground to be built in Beardsley Reservoir area in Calif.

(March 20, 2013) -- In California, the Stanislaus National Forest and the Tri-Dam Project have teamed to improve existing recreational opportunities and facilities, and build a new campground in the Beardsley Reservoir area of the forest. Beginning in April 2013 and continuing through May 2014, construction and area closures will be scheduled to avoid heavy impact to most forest visitors.
