New orders for durable goods jumps nearly 5 percent

(Jan. 28, 2013) -- New orders for durable goods jumped by a stronger-than-expected 4.6 percent in December 2012 following 0.7 percent (previously reported as 0.8 percent) and 1.1 percent gains in November and October, respectively, RBC Economics reported today.
