The seven-year credit card itch

(Jan. 22, 2013) -- After seven years, there is an itch that has yet to be scratched in the credit card industry. In 2005, 50 plaintiffs including Kroger Company, Payless Shoe Source and Safeway sued Visa and MasterCard for allegedly engaging in anticompetitive behavior by conspiring over fees, known as Interchange that merchants pay every time a credit card transaction takes place.
