White House okays black boxes for cars, trucks

(Dec. 6, 2012) -- Nearly nine out of 10 vehicles currently have the devices, however the new rule would require 100 percent of automobiles and light-duty trucks to have the devices that record things like vehicle speed, direction and whether brakes were applied or if the driver and passengers were wearing seatbelts, the Detroit News reported.
