Canadian GDP slows, U.S. consumption dips

(Nov. 30, 2012) -- Personal consumer expenditure (PCE) edged downward by 0.2 percent in October, which was weaker than the flat reading expected by forecasters. Annualized third-quarter 2012 growth in the Canadian economy slowed to 0.6 percent from a slightly downwardly revised 1.7 percent gain in the second quarter of 2012 (previously reported as 1.9 percent), RBC Economics reported today.
