Consumer prices rise as unemployment surges
(Nov. 15, 2012) -- October consumer prices increased by 0.1 percent, which was significant moderation from the monthly gains of 0.6 percent record in both September and August, and was in line with market expectations, RBC Economics reported today. However, initial U.S. unemployment insurance claims surged by 78,000 to 439,000 in the week ending Nov. 10.
