Canada’s trade deficit narrows, U.S. deficit widens

(Oct. 11, 2012) -- Canada's August merchandise trade balance narrowed sharply to $1.3 billion from $2.5 billion in July, but the U.S. trade deficit rose to $44.2 billion in August 2012 from a revised $42.5 billion gap in July that was previously reported as $42.0 billion.
