Airstream chronicled in new book

U.S. retail sales jump, Canadian net worth rises

(Oct. 15, 2012) -- Retail sales in the United States rose a stronger than expected 1.1 percent in September 2012 following upwardly revised 1.2 percent (was 0.9 percent) and 0.7 percent (was 0.6 percent) gains in August and July. Total Canadian net worth was revised upward to $6.88 trillion in the first quarter of 2012 from $6.46 trillion previously, and the market value of Canadian household net worth rose by 0.9 percent ($61 billion) in the second quarter of 2012 to $6.94 trillion.

Kan. campers like "a big family"

(Oct. 15, 2012) -- Clay County Park Manager Linda Mein told those gathered at the Wakefield Chamber’s regular Wednesday forum that the park's campground has come a long way in the last 45 years. Today a tent is a rare site, and the campground is instead filled with $10,000 to $100,000 campers, reports the Clay Center Dispatch.
