Minnesota Court of Appeals sides with campground

(Aug. 15, 2012) -- “There was not substantial evidence that the campground had violated a condition of the CUP, and therefore revocation of the CUP was not justified," the justices ruled. Cory Axelson, who owns Hidden Valley Campground had several issues of non-compliance with the county’s zoning ordinance, including failure to properly manage refuse, failure to obtain building permits and failure to maintain 150-foot setbacks for new structures, according to the Republican-Eagle.

Michigan state park adds a yurt

(Aug. 15, 2012) -- The yurt is located one mile from the boat launch and is the second yurt structure to be put up at Craig Lake. The yurt site includes a deck for wildlife viewing and an ADA-accessible ramp. It features a twin size bunk bed, full size bunk bed, table and six chairs as well as a storage cabinet. It rents for $60 per night, ABC-10 reported.
