Zoning quirk holds up $35 million Florida RV resort

(Aug. 14, 2012) -- Plans for The Resort at Burnt Store Lake, an 188-acre site that will feature an 87-acre lake, 91 cabins, 11 luxury villas and 130 motorhome sites as well as a marina, beach areas, a restaurant, snack bar, meeting rooms, and a clubhouse with a spa. However, the land is currently zoned as mixed-use and agricultural, which will require a year's worth of meeting to change the zoning, the Daily Breeze reported.
