Lone Oak Campsites Motorcycle Run aids Make A Wish

(June 27, 2012) -- Lone Oak Campsites raised more than $3,000 June 15 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation by organizing the Wishes On Wheels Lone Oak Campsites Motorcycle Run. After the ride, the motorcyclists came back to the campground and were served iced tea, lemonade, hot dogs, hamburgers, and various types of salad by 14 volunteers. The lunch was followed by a raffle, which included more than 20 donations by local businesses.

Feds come after campgrounds for ADA — again

(June 27, 2012) -- According to CNS News, new provisions in the "Revised ADA Standards for Accessible Design," which went into effect early this year now requires businesses to allow miniature horses on their premises as guide animals for the disabled, another limits the height of slopes on miniature golf holes, and others regulate saunas, golf courses, exercise equipment and amusement park rides.
