(June 13, 2012) -- All fires, including those in pits and grills, have been banned in 14 counties due to dry conditions and the risk of wildfires. Fire restrictions are in place in many other counties. The agency reminds all park visitors and sportsmen that county bans and restrictions apply to the state parks and wildlife areas in those counties.

(June 13, 2012) -- These five federal agencies now empowered and willing to look for compliance violations in just six areas. Add to that mix, state regulators that last year signed a pact with the CFPB for interagency cooperation and discovery and enforcement potential only grows. The number of agencies now involved in regulating lenders and non-lenders alike has grown substantially, and so has the risk for those who choose to avoid their responsibilities for compliance. The bright side to all of this is that it is not terribly expensive or difficult to set up a compliance management system with some outside help.

(June 13, 2012) -- Smoke from the Whitewater-Baldy Fire has decreased enough for the Cliff Dwellings National Monument and Visitor Center to reopen Thursday, and Superintendent Steve Riley said that he expects them to both remain open, the Silver City Sun-News reported today. Smoke from the fire forced the monument to close May 31 because visibility was less than a quarter mile.

(June 13, 2012) -- On June 24, Tim Loen, a former Navy SEAL who own Chesapeake RV Solutions, will race in the Grand National Cross Country at Snowshoe, which occurs at an elevation of 4,200 feet where racers face mud bogs, tree roots and steep hills in their scramble to the finish line. He is racing to raise money in support of the 31 Hereos Project which supports families military members killed in the line of duty.
