Colorado Springs KOA hosts U.S. Bobsled Team

(June 25, 2012) -- Colorado Springs KOA manager Dennis Schultz hosted the group June 17 at the request of KOA CEO Jim Rogers, who wanted to invite the team to experience the fun and relaxation of KOA’s outdoor hospitality. The teams were treated to all the fun of the outdoors, KOA-style, including a full barbecue dinner. A first-year KOA Work Kamper couple, Louis and Pat Jett, provided the entertainment with their country music performance.

Winnebago recalls 63 for hydraulic disc brakes

(June 25, 2012) -- Winnebago Industries Inc. is recalling 62 model year 2009 through 2012 Winnebago Commercial vehicle model J38S and model year 2009 and 2010 Adventurer motorhomes manufactured from Oct. 30, 2008 through Sept. 9, 2011, and one 2009 Itasca Suncruiser motorhome built Nov. 2009. These motorhomes chassis are equipped with Bosch hydraulic disc brakes.

California campgrounds gear up for July 4 activities

Meanwhile, Emerald Desert RV Resort in Palm Desert will celebrate the holiday weekend with hula hoop and watermelon eating contests, an ice cream social and an evening glow stick parade.

RV shipments rise 4.9 percent in May

All vehicle types have enjoyed shipment growth this year with the exception of folding camping trailers and Type C motorhomes which are both only slightly behind," said Baker.
