U.S. industrial production falls, Canadian net worth climbs

(June 15, 2012) -- U.S. industrial production declined 0.1 percent in May 2012 and missed market expectations for a 0.1 percent increase, RBC Economics reported today. The market value of Canadian household net worth rose by 1.8 percent ($115 billion) in the first quarter of 2012 to $6.5 trillion. The gain builds established a new record high. Per capita net worth was $185,800 in the quarter, which was up from $182,900 in the previous quarter.
