Founder of Little Dealer, Little Prices passes away

(May 1, 2012) -- Roy Sampson’s love of camping led him to open Arizona State Trailer Sales, Inc., later called Little Dealer Little Prices in Mesa, Arizona. While Sampson’s wife, Vivian, and extended family helped out at the growing dealership. Roy’s daughter Debbie, gradually stepped up to the presidency of the three-store dealership and to the chairmanship of RVDA. All of Debbie Brunoforte’s six siblings have worked at Little Dealer Little Prices, as have grandchildren and others.

MTI continues patent lawsuit against Atwood Mobile

(May 1, 2012) -- "Historically, 92 percent of the time, a request for reexamination is granted and a process is begun to determine if the patent should have issued.  However, the U.S. Patent Office recently issued a detailed seven-page order denying Atwood’s request because it '…fails to raise a substantial new question of patentability,'” said Jeff Wisniewski, president of MTI Industries.  Atwood did not appeal, he noted.

RVC Outdoor Destinations expands to Western U.S.

(May 1, 2012) -- The roughly 200-site property is located near the entrance of the Garden of the Gods Visitor Center, with views of Pikes Peak, one of the most visited mountains in North America. The property has been the top RV and outdoor lodging destination in the region but has been under bank ownership since 2010. RVC has begun stabilizing operations and will begin renovating the Garden of the God's Campground immediately.

Florida resort adds 39 RV sites

(May 1, 2012) -- Live Oak Landing, an RVC resort in Freeport, has come a long way from its beginnings as McDaniel's Fish Camp, writes the Walton Sun. It has added, among other things, a heated and cooled gathering place and 39 RV sites in preparation for the summer travel season.
