(May 3, 2012) -- The Jamestown Sun reports that a family joke about living in an RV parked in a barn has led a Minnesota contractor to come up with a new housing solution for oil boom workers: an indoor RV park.

(May 3, 2012) -- According to sources familiar with the situation, the confusion stems from a transaction in 2008 to merge Coachmen RV, which owned Viking Recreational Vehicles, with Forest River. RV Daily Report has learned that Forest River acquired the intellectual property associated with Viking Recreational Vehicles, including the rights to use the brand names and product designs, as well as its Michigan manufacturing facility. However, Forest River did not take over the debt or liabilities for Viking Recreational Vehicles. In response to numerous inquiries yesterday, Coachmen President Mike Terlep issued the following letter to its RV dealers today.

RVIA’s Annual National RV Show in Louisville was ranked 17 and  PRVCA’s Hershey Show in Pennsylvania was ranked 20.

(May 3, 2012) -- ARI Network Services, Inc., announced today that James (Jim) R. Johnson, of Palm Springs, Calif, has been appointed to its board of directors.  Johnson will serve until the company's annual meeting in January 2013, at which time he will be subject to election by the shareholders.  Johnson's committee assignments are pending.

(May 3, 2012) -- NBC Connecticut reports that the City of Waterbury has started a major crackdown on residents who keep RVs, campers and boats in their driveways. They may soon face hefty fines or even a judge if the vehicles are not moved.

(May 3, 2012) -- On Saturday and Sunday, about 80 WyoTech students cleared debris from the Yellow Pine Campground, located on Pole Mountain in the Medicine Bow National Forest. The campground has been closed since 2010 because of threats from dead, dying trees, reports the Casper Star-Tribune Online.
