Progress made in harmonizing U.S., Canadian standards

(April 2, 2012) -- More than 50 code change proposals were developed for the CSA Z240 RV standard and 13 proposals were drafted for the 2014 edition of NFPA 1192. These draft proposals will now be forwarded to the respective full committees for review and action. The NFPA Technical Committee on RVs will be meeting in May and the CSA Z240 Technical Committee is planning to meet in September.

"Human trafficking" law could hurt RV makers

(April 2, 2012) -- New California law requires RV manufacturers to certify their companies conduct audits of suppliers to evaluate their compliance with company standards regarding human trafficking and slavery, and whether the company requires direct suppliers to certify that the materials they provide to make the product comply with the human trafficking and slavery laws of the countries where they are doing business.
