Taiwan’s Spring Scream festival goes green

(April 6, 2012) -- According to organizers of the Spring Scream festival, this year's event, being held now through April 8 at Eluanbi National Park and the South Point Campground in Kenting, will be partially powered by solar energy to support the government's energy conservation efforts, reports Focus Taiwan News Channel.

(April 6, 2012) -- “I cannot, in good conscience, continue to allow visitors to stay in the lower portion of Mortimer Campground knowing that it’s just a matter of time before another major flood hits the area,” said Crockett. “I realize a lot of people enjoy the area each year, and it’s not an easy thing to do. But the right thing to do in this case is to protect the public by closing this lower camping area.”
