Canadian GDP declines, U.S. income rises
(April 30, 2012) -- Canada's February 2012 gross domestic product (GDP) declined 0.2 percent in the month, following unrevised gains of 0.1 percent and 0.5 percent in January 2012 and December 2011, respectively. Personal consumer expenditure (PCE) in the United States rose 0.3 percent in March 2012, which was modestly softer than the 0.4 percent gain expected. The monthly increase followed upwardly revised gains in February and January of 0.9 percent and 0.5 percent, respectively.
