Good Sam posts profit in 2011

(March 16, 2012) -- The company reported revenue of $147.8 million in membership services, $51.2 million from its publications and $282.4 million from its Camping World retail operation. After posting gross income from operations of $45.3 million, Good Sam Enterprises recorded an interest payment of $44.7 million. Combined with tax benefits and gains on asset sales as well as derivative instruments, the company posted its first profit since 2007. Same store sales decreased by $2.1 million, or 1.1 percent, at its Camping World locations.
