U.S. GDP growth downgraded
(Dec. 22, 2011) -- The downward revision to GDP growth as a whole was largely accounted for by a downward revision to consumer spending growth to 1.7 percent from the 2.3 percent second estimate and the first estimate of a 2.4 percent gain. This was largely accounted for by lower spending on services than previously reported, Janzen explained.
